The busy and successful Criminal Law Department is headed by Partner, Dylan J Bradshaw LL.B. Solicitor & Higher Courts Advocate.
The busy and successful Criminal Law Department is headed by Partner, Dylan J Bradshaw LLB (Hons) Solicitor admitted 1990. Dylan is also a Higher Court Advocate which entitles him to appear in any criminal court in England and Wales. He regularly appears before Judges at the Crown Court as an Advocate. Dylan is also a Member of a Very High Cost Case (VHCC) Panel and Dylan himself is a VHCC Supervisor which includes complex fraud cases.
Dylan has been with the Firm since 1988 and became a Partner in 1994. His specialisms are in sensitive and high profile contested matters in the Magistrates Court and serious and complex crime in the Crown Court. Dylan is happy to accept instructions from anywhere in the country and often defends in large scale drugs cases and complex fraud matters.
Dylan is also a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme and is a Crime Contract Supervisor. The Firm has recently been awarded a Category One Peer Review status. The Independent Review categorised the Firm’s work in the Crime Department as “excellent”. The award is only given to those Firms who demonstrate the highest possible standards of service and professional competence.

Philip J. Turner LL.B. Solicitor admitted 1980.
A former Senior Partner of the firm Philip is now a full time Senior Consultant.
Philip has a strong commitment to client care and achieving the best outcome for clients.
He is also a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme and he specialises in all aspects of criminal defence.
Trevor Grice LL.B. ARICS. Solicitor admitted 1986.
Trevor is a full time practicing Consultant with his own extensive client base.
Trevor’s specialisms are in sensitive and high profile contested matters in the Magistrates and Crown Courts.
He is also a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme.
Cathryn Fell BSc (Hons) Solicitor admitted 2005.
Cathryn joined the Firm in 2007.
She has an extremely high success rate in summary trials and bail applications in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts.
Cathryn is also a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme.
Daniel Frazer BA (Hons) Solicitor admitted 2008.
Daniel joined the Firm in 2005.
His strengths are advocacy in the Magistrates Court with a high rate of successful acquittal. Daniel is committed to offering a high standard of advice at the Police Station. He is also an Accredited Police Station and Duty Solicitor Representative.
Andrew Clegg Senior Crown Court Practitioner.
Andrew joined the firm in 1999 and is an experienced and highly respected Crown Court Representative.
Andrew has developed strong links with Counsel’s Chambers and other professional experts within the Criminal Justice System. He is also an Accredited Police Station and Duty Solicitor Representative.
Charlotte Ashworth LL.B (Hons) Charlotte joined the Firm in 2012 and having successfully completed her legal practice course is currently undertaking her LLM in Professional Legal Practice.
Charlotte works within our Crown Court Department and also has a strong commitment to offering advice to clients in the Police Station.
She is an Accredited Police Station Representative.
Ben Richardson LL.B(Hons)
Ben joined the firm in October 2012 from a firm in Manchester and is currently undertaking his training contract. He has an extensive knowledge in several areas of Criminal Law which include serious sexual offences, Fraud, serious drug offences, Firearms offences and other general crime. He has also developed a sound knowledge of cases involving DNA evidence, in particular low copy number DNA evidence. During his legal career he has gained experience in Extradition and cross boarder/mutual assistance cases and developed a good knowledge of Dutch law. His strengths lie in his ability to communicate with fellow professionals and clients alike. He is committed to offering the highest standard of advice.
Simon J. Clarke BA LL.B (Hons) Solicitor.
Simon joined the Firm in 2011 and heads the Personal Injury and Civil Law Department his specialisms are Personal Injury and civil actions against the Police. Simon is able to offer excellent representation to clients at the Police Station.
He is an Accredited Police Station and Duty Solicitor Representative.
